RACE REPORT- June 6, 2008
Racing was cancelled AGAIN due to rain!
RACE REPORT- May 30, 2008
We had a long week of hard work by the entire BBMS team to get the car back together after last week's hard crash in the second feature.  Luckily,  the Memorial Day holiday gave the team one extra full day to work on the car and without that day of work, we would not have been able to make it to the track.
We started 3rd in our qualifying heat.  A hard vibration in the front end caused the #82 to quickly lose one position, but was able to hold on for the remaining 10 of 12 laps to secure a fourth place finish.  After going through tech, the #82 pulled into the pits and the team worked to identify the problem.  The problem was quickly fixed and we began to prepare for the feature.
As the late models began lining up for the feature in the staging area, large scattered raindrops had many crew members in the pits and many fans in the stands looking to the sky and hoping that the rain was not going to spoil another race!  The raindrops stopped just before the late models pulled out onto the track.
The #82 started 6th on the grid for the 50 lap event.  There was some exciting racing at the front of the field, bringing the cars three wide more than once.  There was also some good battles for position in the middle of the field, including the #82 and the #22 of Charlie Rousseau.  The #82 finished in the 7th postion and unlike last week, the car finished the race in one piece with only cosmetic damage.  With only minor repairs ahead this week, the team will be able to do some fine tuning to improve for next week.
Before this week's race,  Bobby Baillargeon was listed as 5th in the track point standings.  Bobby is tied for 6th with Wayne Helliwell, Jr. in the NASCAR point standings.
RACE REPORT- May 23, 2008
WE FINALLY GOT THIS SEASON STARTED on Friday, May 23rd after 3 consecutive race dates were washed away by rain!   A few divisions were to race double features because of the rain-outs, and the late model division was included.

Our 2008 racing season was off to a good start with a solid 2nd place finish in a caution free 35 lap event. The line-up for the second feature was based off of an inversion from the first feature.  After the inversion and with the rookies being put to the rear of the field, we started 11th in the second feature.  Within the first few laps of the race, Bobby had already gained a few positions, but a crash in the middle of turns 1& 2 put an end to that.  There were at least 5 late models involved, many of them with extensive damage including our #82.  Bobby got out of the car on the track and began accessing the damage.  As Bobby was towed into the pits, the 82 team accessed the damage and went straight to work to get the car ready to make a few more laps on the track, which landed us a 12th place finish.  The BBMS team was successful in getting the car back out on the track with the help from a few friends, but the car sure did not look like it did at the start of the race!  Thanks to everyone who helped either by working on the car, lending us parts, or by showing support for our race team.  We appreciate it and hope to see you at the track next week!
